K940 Chartering and Induction of Officers and Members


Kabalikat Civicom Cebu City Chapter (KC490) formerly GAC has been formally chartered and inducted their new set of Officers and Members at the Cebu Waterfront Hotel.


The honored guests were Sen. Mar "Mr. Palengke" Roxas, Cebu City Mayor Tommy Osmeña and Vice Mayor Mike Rama.


The inducting officer is no other than the Kabalikat Founder Gil dela Torre (KC10-01).

KC110-60 Visits Kabalikat 939 Boljo-on Chapter


KC110 President Renie Vasquez (KC110-60) visits K939 and conducts a seminar on the "Proper Handling and Use of Portable Radio"


The seminar was atended by K939 President Charles Lacuña (KC939-01) and selected members of K939. It was a successful activity giving the new 10-41's of K939 the basics of using handheld radio.

A Premier on Kabalikat

Kabalikat Civic Communicators Association, Inc., or simply known as KABALIKAT is presently the largest group of responsible and active radio communicators engaged in public assistance particularly during disasters and natural calamities or whenever there is need to ensure public comfort and convenience. Kabalikat utilizes all means of communication system from among the members.

It is a non-stock, nonprofit organization whose noblest motive is the public welfare. Kabalikat has almost 700 chartered groups nationwide.

What does it mean to be a Kabalikat?
To be a Kabalikat is to devote yourself utterly to a set of moral principles, its code of ethical standards, values and adherence to service credo as a way of life. Therefore, to be a Kabalikat, one must learn to care and serve for the welfare of others and give the best we can so that others may live. Serving others especially those in need is serving God. This is the true meaning of life of every Kabalikat.

The Kabalikat Philosophy
The object of Kabalikat Civicom is to diffuse the light of civilization and make known to all the needy of worthy sentiments, cultured manners affability and untrammeled intelligence in ail our actions. Kabalikat Civicom is not a mutual aid society. Mutual protection forms part of its program: every Kabalikat is obliged to protect his brethren and to strive for the brotherhood of man, The duties of man are twofold: duties towards his Creator and duties towards humanity. The different which we cultivate and strive to perfect is not that between man and God but that between man and humanity.

As a civic organization, the Kabalikat Civicom should promote bayanihan spirit, foster stronger and more cohesive fellowship among those involved in community radio communication; to develop dedication, discipline and professionalism in community radio services; mutual help and cooperation among various government agencies and civic-minded organizations by bringing its services closer to every sector of the community and to assist in every way possible in the developmental radio communication in the national endeavor of achieving reforms.

Vision
Kabalikat Civicom is a truly universal organization whose officers and members are God-fearing and responsive to the public welfare with a mission to care and serve humanity, committed to democracy, respect for the authorities and the government.

To finance several Kabalikat community services and special operations during calamities and emergencies, the Organization solicits logistical support from among its members and kindhearted individuals and philanthropic organizations who adhere the true meaning of serving God is -- serving fellowmen.
